Privacy Policy
U-Eats (“U-Eats,” “we,” “us”), operated by FINTEXA Inc., runs a directory and loyalty program for local food trucks at gouft.net. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
Information we collect
- Account info — for vendors: business name, email, and password. For customers: your mobile phone number (used to sign in and track loyalty points).
- Usage info — trucks you follow, reviews you post, points you earn, and general activity on the site.
- Approximate location — only when you choose to share it (to show trucks near you). Vendors may share their truck’s current location.
- Payment info — vendor subscription payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store card numbers.
How we use it
- To operate the directory, your account, reviews, and the loyalty/points program.
- To send account and service messages (such as login codes) and, if you opt in, updates from trucks you follow.
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
Text messaging (SMS)
If you provide your mobile number, you may receive text messages from U-Eats, including one-time login codes, loyalty and rewards updates, and — from trucks you choose to follow — alerts such as “we’re open” and specials.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or your SMS opt-in with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing. Numbers are shared only with the messaging providers that deliver texts on our behalf (for example, Twilio).
- Message frequency varies based on your activity and the trucks you follow.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to any message to opt out at any time, or HELP for help.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run U-Eats (such as Twilio for texts, Stripe for payments, and our hosting/email provider), and when required by law. Mobile phone numbers are never shared for third-party marketing.
Cookies
We use a small number of first-party cookies to make the site work — and nothing else. Specifically:
- Session cookie — keeps you signed in and protects forms (strictly necessary).
- Location preference — remembers the town or location you chose so “near you” results persist between visits.
We do not use advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, though signing in and saved location may stop working if you do.
Your choices
- Opt out of texts anytime by replying STOP.
- Unfollow trucks to stop their alerts.
- Contact us to access or delete your account information.
Data retention & security
We keep information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, then delete or anonymize it. We use reasonable safeguards to protect your data, though no method is 100% secure.
Children
U-Eats is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We may update this policy; we’ll revise the “last updated” date above when we do.
